How are we ever going to teach our children well, give them rules by which they can live by? No one takes responsibility for their actions. Parliament has proved itself slippier in dealing with being caught with their hands in the till than what they actually did!
Bill Wiggins explanation of claiming mortgage interest for a house with no mortgage made him look utterly incompetent and inept and if these are the people setting our standards, laws and regulations then why should the people operate fairly and openly?
But it also leads us towards the extraordinary case of the 13 year old, Alfie Patten, his 15 year old “girlfriend”, Chantelle Steadman, and the baby girl. It has just come out Alfie is not the father, although it could have been anyone of 6 it transpires and Tyler Barker is. There is so much that is wrong but at the top is why a 13 year old would be devastated at NOT being the father and how can anyone think a 15 year old with 6 different sexual partners is something to brag about! Surely something is going sadly wrong in so many areas.
Our moral compass appears to be not functioning. Or if it is then we are on a slide into the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah!
Somewhere, somehow we need a hero in the morning light? They’ve got to be strong, they’ve got to be tough and they’ve got to be ready to fight!
Now is the time for the good guys to show the way and clear a path away from greed, envy and hatred. Or perhaps I shall just have to disappear to a desert Island and start my own society of Niceness!
