For those who read this regularly you will know that one of my common themes is that adults are just larger versions of how we were as kids. Sure we pile unfounded beliefs on to ourselves and create impositions that stop us being able to live in an idyllic child like state, but in essence we are all running around as if we were still at kindergarten.
This became highly visible with the President Obama and Prime Minister Brown playground spat over in New York last week before the UN summit.
To bring you up to speed, basically Brown and Obama had fallen out because Brown hadn’t really said whether he had or hadn’t given a toy that Obama didn’t want given away to Brown’s newest bestest friend Gadaffi. Obama had got miffed and wouldn’t talk to Brown. Brown got sulky and kicked his heels around the playground secretly positioning himself in close proximity to Obama so they might talk.
And then as if that wasn’t bad enough Gadaffi was very rude about the school they went to and Brown had to stand up and say that Gadaffi wasn’t right and this seemed to please Obama who then slapped Brown on the back, and this cheered Brown up!
And this is how our World and our Country is run!!!!!!! Sure there will be those who say don’t be silly it isn’t like this. But just insert the Lockerbie Bomber for toy and that is what happened last week!
Perhaps we should keep our childlike states as well as being childish – life might be more fun!
