It is all well and good being right on something but it is galling when you are right and still portrayed as wrong!
The magnificence that is Canary Riverside still stands in splendour on the shoulder of the west entrance to Canary Wharf. It is famous in property circles not for the names who bought flats but for it’s appearances at Leasehold Valuation Tribunal.
Over the years my path has crossed in various ways but most recently when residents wanted me to be appointed manager for the complex. An application which actually failed, but what was fascinating was the defence put in by the landlord.
In the interests of fairness I would suggest to all if there is a rainy Sunday afternoon to search the internet and read the case for impartiality. What I was surprised and fascinated to read in the defence was admission that past management had been a problem but things were now moving forward.
Well in the previous cases when residents had claimed there were problems they were told there weren’t.
So the landlord is admitting the residents were actually right and previous management was shocking but they lost then and they lost now.
It is a strange world in which we live and it seems stranger the more episodes like this one comes across.
If you live or invest in flat land then all the laws in the land will not benefit for those who can be right when they’re wrong!
