George Bush admits torture and thinks it is okay whilst China should be deplored for human rights abuses; The Government make decisions for strategy to take the country forward and they find court challenges on what they do and how they propose to do it; and instead of wanting to get along some elements do everything they can to make things as difficult as possible.
Now this is not turning into a rant of any kind but I do find the inconsistencies and ability for someone to argue right is wrong unbelievable. An area of work that is growing for us is consultancy and reviewing others services and costs. We try and take a pragmatic approach to resolve issues and find solutions.
Unfortunately this doesn’t always appeal to some who need to have every corner of every option explored to death and for every “I” to be dotted and “t” to be crossed as well as spirit level applied to make sure horizontal and equidistant!
We have recently managed to get a saving on third party fees down from £10,000 to £2,000 and I know that for some it won’t be right because should we have got it reduced more and were the letters phrased correctly!
Of course this all goes beyond pleasing all the people and hits to the heart of whether a solution is the right solution and whether racking up fees and Court action is a sensible approach to solve a problem.
