Keeping Focus on the Good Guys

It is a basic animal instinct to protect oneself when cornered or threatened.  Some humans demonstrate this more readily than others.  Especially when they attempt to convince white is black and get quickly found out.

This is never more apparent than when a service is alleged to have gone array and, quite simply, it has not.

A mantra I often come out with is, “you can’t please all the people all the time!”  But it is a steep upward curve when you find yourself having calls that letters were never sent out when the postal service has issues and you know some people received them.

This might sound petty but when you have sat dealing day in, day out with similar types of allegations and worse, it can become wearing.

The challenge I have at Chainbow is keeping everyone focussed on the good guys and seeing the nuisance and problem as the exception.  The general industry, however, sees it from the opposite perspective and everyone gets tainted.

Of course, we do get some spectacular tales that beggar belief including people who think we should spend all day, every day keeping them personally updated on what goes on.  That would take a herculean feat and the website updates are just not personal enough for some.

We have people who think we should run their lives for them and are outraged and think us lazy or wrong if we state that we only deal with common parts and not the inside of the flat.
